A Ballymagarvey Village Wedding Story – Keelin and Christy

An English boy meets and American girl, love blossoms and on 26th February they got married at Ballymagarvey Village. Well it didn’t quite go like that but hey that’s the romantic in me! Keelin and Christy met in New York but when home called and Christy went back to England it looked like their brief romance was over. But…and its a big BUT…Christy returned to the US and the rest they say is history. Both of their families have Irish connections and a strong love for Ireland so it seemed natural that they would marry here and they got it spot on with their choice of venue – Ballymgarvey Village. It is a wedding venue that I know well and absolutley love! It such a stylish and relaxed enviroment where the food is devine and all who work there give 100% to give you an amazing day.

 

Keelin opted to get ready there on the morning of the wedding and as you can see from the images below she made quite the stunnung bride! Complete with her beautiful Kate Spade shoes, elegant bouquet by Petit Fleurs and amazing gown from NY Brides it was off to Rathfeigh Church for the ceremony. The wedding just flowed effortlessly from there and a great day was had by all…here are my highlights!

An Anglers Rest Wedding Story – Gillian and Barry Part I

I really loved being part of Gillian and Barry’s wedding – it was such a beautiful day despite the January weather! They celebrated their ceremony at Dublin Zoo, which was a real treat to photograph and something very original that Gillian and Barry will treasure forever. It was so lovely strolling around the zoo together as we took our couple portraits and one of the elephants even obliged and appeared at just the right time. It was then off to the Anglers Rest for the remainder of the celebrations. I really loved it there. The decor of the reception room was so sophisticated and glamorous yet you still had the traditional charm of the bar down below for the drinks reception. Gillian and Barry really brought the day together so fantastically and everyone had such a great time and as I left were partying the night away to Spring Break.
 
I had so many images that I really wanted to share that I will share them across today’s blog and also next Wednesday – so come back then to see more from this stunning wedding.

The Arrival of my Adorable Little Niece

On 06 March my little niece arrived into the world and I have never been so proud of her and my sister. In case any of you think that is me in the images below, I am actually a twin and that’s my sister and her gorgeous little bundle of joy. I couldn’t wait to do a baby shoot with them and be able to document her first few weeks in the world. Baby shoots are quite different to weddings…babies cry a lot…and then they cry some more!!  But once we got settled, we were into the swing of it and I am delighted to share with you below some images from the shoot.

On Your Wedding Day – Cutting the Cake

For the cutting the cake pictures I advise that if your cake is on a table pushed again a wall or window then ask you event coordinator can the table be moved a little, allowing you to stand behind or a little to the side of the cake. This means you can face your friends and family and allows for a better photograph!

On Your Wedding Day – Photographing Your Bridal Bouquet

One of the freshest and prettiest images for your wedding album is the one your photographer takes of your bridal bouquet. It adds the most gorgeous splash of colour to your wedding collection! Be sure and ask your photographer to take pictures of your bouquet as soon as it arrives at the house as you will find that during the day your bouquet will start to fade. Taking these pictures straight away will allow you to see your bouquet at its most beautiful.
