I am so excited about this post! I just spent the weekend at the most fabulous wedding at Ballymagarvey Village shooting with Christina Brosnan of Brosnan Photographic. We spent a great day shooting the wedding of Shauna and Kieran whose love for each other was plain to see. The day was made even more emotional as Kieran has been living abroad for the last couple of months so the couples reunion for their wedding was even more special.
We started the day at the Marriott Ashbourne where the girls room was buzzing with excitement of the day to come. There was such a lovely atmosphere as the girls got their hair and makeup done and I must say Shauna was the most relaxed bride I have photographed, it was great to see! Shauna wore a gorgeous Jenny Packham dress, which suited her perfectly. I love Jenny Packham’s designs and Shauna’s glamourous and sleek gown was the perfect mixture of haute couture with a very feminine silhouette. And the embellishment across the waist was to die for, so gorgeous! As she joked herself, Shauna felt like she was going to the oscars and as she put the final touches in place, I definitely thought that she would grace any red carpet. Teamed with a beautiful purple bouquet and leaving her hair down Shauna’s glamourous look was complete and she was soon ready to head to Rathfeigh Church to meet her leading man (sorry, I couldn’t resist that one!).
The church at Rathfeigh is such an intimate and quaint place that created the perfect setting for Shauna and Kieran to commit their lives to each other and celebrate their love. Shauna had included beautiful details such as cute little red love hearts and lantern candles that added beautifully to the lovely ceremony. Following the church celebration the guests had a short trip down the road to the fabulous Ballymagarvey Village where we spent time with the bride and groom in the grounds of the house for a photoshoot. I love how happy they look together in these photos, their joy was so infectious and you can see how much in love they are. After braving the cold, Shauna and Kieran then went back to mingle with their friends and family and continue the celebrations of their beautiful wedding.
I end this post with Shauna and Kieran’s first dance…the first of many happy memories as they start their new life together. Thank you for letting us share in your day.
